1. About This Service

QuoteYourBalloons ("the Service") is a web-based tool provided by Quote Your Balloons Ltd to help balloon business owners calculate pricing and generate customer quotes. By using this Service, you agree to these terms.

2. Subscription & Payment

• Access to the Service requires a paid subscription at £12.99 + VAT per month.
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial months, but you'll retain access until your paid period ends.

3. What You Get

• Unlimited access to all calculators (Quick, Detailed, Helium)
• PDF quote generation
• Saved settings and preferences
• Access on any device via your account

4. Your Responsibilities

• Keep your login details secure. You're responsible for all activity under your account.
• Don't share your account with others. Each subscription is for one user.
• Use the Service lawfully and don't attempt to interfere with its operation.

5. The Calculator Output

The Service provides pricing calculations based on the values you enter. It is a tool to assist your business decisions, not financial advice. You are responsible for verifying all calculations suit your specific circumstances. We make no guarantees about profitability or accuracy for your particular situation.

6. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available 24/7, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to perform maintenance or updates occasionally. We're not liable for any losses arising from temporary unavailability.

The Service can be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on your device. While some features may be accessible offline, core functionality — including signing in, managing your subscription, and syncing data — requires an active internet connection.

7. Changes to the Service

We may update features, pricing, or these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

8. Termination

You can cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used fraudulently.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quote Your Balloons Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before any claim.

10. Governing Law

Quote Your Balloons Ltd is a company registered in Scotland (Company No. SC880928). These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. While you may access the Service from anywhere in the world, you agree that any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Scotland.

Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

QuoteYourBalloons is operated by Quote Your Balloons Ltd (Company No. SC880928), based at 45 Victoria Terrace, Dunfermline, KY12 0LY, Scotland, UK. We're committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we use your data.

2. What Data We Collect

Account information:

• Email address (for login and communication)
• Password (encrypted, we cannot see it)

Payment information:

• Processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
• We receive confirmation of payment status from Stripe.

Subscription data:

• Your subscription status (active/inactive)

What we DON'T collect:

• Your customer details from quotes (these are generated on your device and not sent to us)
• Your calculation inputs or results
• Your app settings (hourly rate, business details) — these are stored locally on your device only
• Tracking or advertising data

3. How We Use Your Data

• Email: To let you log in, send password resets, and notify you of important account updates
• Payment status: To grant access to paid features

4. Lawful Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your data on the following legal bases:

• Contract: Your email address and subscription status are processed to provide the service you've signed up and paid for
• Legal obligation: Payment records are retained as required by UK tax law (HMRC)
• Legitimate interest: We may use your email to notify you of important service updates or changes that affect your account

5. Who We Share Data With

• Supabase: Our authentication and database provider (stores your email and account data securely)
• Stripe: Our payment processor (handles all payment information)

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

6. Data Security

• Passwords are encrypted and cannot be viewed by us
• All data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections
• We use trusted, industry-standard providers (Supabase, Stripe)

7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access your data — ask us what we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and data ("right to be forgotten")
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to certain processing

The app can be installed to your device's home screen as a Progressive Web App (PWA). When installed, your settings and preferences remain stored locally on your device using browser local storage. No additional data is collected or transmitted as a result of installation.

• Active accounts: We keep your data while your account is active
• Cancelled accounts: We delete your data within 30 days of account deletion request
• Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by UK tax law

This Service is designed for business use and is not intended for children under 18.
